THE ISSUES

What I'll Fight For

Lower Prices

Your paycheck should cover the basics

If you work forty hours a week, you should be able to buy groceries, fill up your tank, and keep the lights on. That's not a lot to ask. But right now, too many families in Washington County have to pick and choose which bills get paid this month.

Nashville keeps blocking towns from setting their own pay rules and sides with big companies over the workers who show up every day. I'll fight for:

  • Letting our county set wages that match what things actually cost here
  • Tax breaks for businesses that pay their workers enough to live on
  • Paid time off when you have a baby so no one has to choose between family and a paycheck

Housing You Can Afford

A place to live shouldn't take your whole paycheck

Young people are leaving Washington County — not because they want to, but because they can't find a place to live. Rent keeps climbing. Buying a first home feels impossible. Nobody in Nashville is doing anything about it.

I'll push for:

  • Building more homes regular families can actually buy — not just luxury places
  • Protecting renters from surprise rent hikes and shady landlord tricks
  • Real help for first-time home buyers who grew up here and want to stay

Healthcare You Can Reach

No one should skip the doctor because they can't pay

Too many people in East Tennessee put off going to the doctor because they're scared of the bill. One hospital company controls almost everything in our area, and that means less choice and higher prices for you.

I'll fight for:

  • Breaking up the Ballad Health monopoly so you have real choices again
  • Expanding Medicaid so hundreds of thousands of Tennesseans can finally see a doctor
  • Bringing back rural clinics and urgent care options that have disappeared

Strong Public Schools

Every kid deserves a good classroom

Our kids deserve classrooms with enough books, enough teachers, and enough resources to learn. Instead, Nashville keeps trying to send your tax dollars to private companies that answer to no one.

I'll fight for:

  • Full funding for every public school — not just the ones in wealthy areas
  • Better pay for teachers so the good ones don't leave
  • Stopping voucher schemes that take money out of your neighborhood school
